ZAGRO Group has acquired FE Rail GmbH, headquartered in Leipzig, Germany, on 1 January 2024. FE Rail GmbH was a subsidiary of France Elévateur S.A.S., a French manufacturer of truck-mounted aerial work platforms and road-rail vehicles (a Time Manufacturing company).
FE Rail GmbH was founded in Germany in 2011 under the name France Elévateur Deutschland GmbH by managing director and co-shareholder Thomas Rammelt. In recent years, the company has focused on the sale and servicing of road-rail aerial work platforms.
FE Rail GmbH, based in Leipzig, has been fully integrated into ZAGRO Bahn- und Baumaschinen GmbH since 1 January 2024.
The company's Managing Director, Wolfgang Zappel, says: "The acquisition of FE Rail GmbH represents an important step in our global growth plan, as we can now develop into a full-range supplier in the field of road-rail and rail technology. Through partnerships with market-leading suppliers of road-rail aerial work platforms and with Thomas Rammelt, who contributes his expertise as product manager aerial work platform to our group of companies, we will continue our 55-year success story of the ZAGRO Group."
Wikko Zappel, Managing Director, adds: "With the Leipzig location, we now have our 5th service station and thus strengthen our nationwide presence. Our current and future customers will benefit directly from this by having regional contacts in the areas of sales, service, and training. In the medium term, we will be able to offer service, repair and training for the complete product portfolio of the ZAGRO Group at all locations, and ZAGRO Group customers will benefit from our extensive offering."
